Hej, I’m Anika!
I'm a UX/UI Designer with a background in industrial design.
A creative sabbatical led me to redefine my values and professional goals and pursue a digital design career.
As a former in-house designer in the luxury industry, I have years of experience working in a design and product development team, discussing design decisions and integrating input from different departments into smart and elegant design solutions.
I'm skilled at working methodically and using design principles, processes, and tools. I always strive for beautiful visual designs, but I'm comfortable at all stages of the design process: From research and concept development, defining the mood of a project, to sketching, testing and iterating, to finally creating a convincing visual solution.

I want to create design with a real purpose and impact. And I'm looking for an agile work environment that allows me to learn and grow. I'm based near Kassel, Germany and available for hire on a (hybrid) remote basis.

When I'm not in front of the screen...
I like to explore: You'll probably find me on some kind of outdoor trip, hiking or packrafting. I am a happy introvert and enjoy nature and solitude to recharge my batteries. But I also enjoy the community and energy of endurance events, such as the 100 km "Hollenmarsch" in 24 hours.
I'm a craftsperson too and like to swing my axe and knife to create wooden spoons and treen out of local trees. You can find my work on Instagram @theflyingwoodchips, where I stay in touch with the worldwide greenwood community and find a lot of inspiration.
